What Wisevet Coach is, whose framework it follows, and exactly where every piece of its clinical content stands.
The framework
Wisevet Coach structures a problem-based clinical walk: define and refine the problem, define and refine the system, define the location, define the lesion - ending at a prioritised differential list with suggested next steps. The framework is that of Maddison JE, Volk HA, Church DB (eds), Clinical Reasoning in Veterinary Practice: Problem Solved!, 2nd edn, Wiley-Blackwell, 2022. The framework is credited here and on the front page; the clinical content in the app is authored for the app and is not reproduced from the book.
Governance
Every clinical statement shown to a vet is authored and signed by a veterinarian - currently Dr. Marc Simpson - and carries its citation in the record. Where content is unsigned the app abstains and says so. The language model involved in the product is plumbing only: it phrases an affirmation of the vet's own committed reasoning and never generates, ranks, selects or excludes clinical content. Every clinical nudge (a can't-miss reminder, an exclusion, a prerequisite) is chosen deterministically from the signed content.
The walk never names a diagnosis and never recommends treatment. The clinical decisions stay with the vet.
Content status, problem by problem
34 problemswere authored from Dr. Simpson's worked chapter dictations and reviewed in the app walk by walk. 36 problems were drafted from his signed scaffold summaries expanded with mainstream references, released provisionally, and signed off as reviewed by Dr. Simpson on 19 August 2026; the internal register of additions made during drafting is retained for each. 4 emergency presentations (Oliguria / Anuria, Stupor / Coma, Suspected Toxin Ingestion, Trauma / RTA / MVA) are deliberately offered as Quick Consult reference cards only - a stepwise reasoning walk is the wrong tool mid-emergency.

- Suspected toxin ingestion carries no confirmed literature source yet and is consult-only until one is named.
- Two problems (collapse/syncope, jaundice/icterus) have system questions not yet gated on the define step, pending the authoring vet's clinical logic.
- Two problems (tremors, vestibular signs) deliberately show their full differential list with no primary/secondary narrowing.
- The multi-problem hook suggestion is retired: the app teaches how to choose a diagnostic hook but no longer suggests one.
Reviewing this app
